The Liverpool and Moyers Corners Fire Departments took advantage of the recent storm and spent a few hours working on ice rescue training at the Onondaga Lake Marina. Crews started at Liverpool Station 1 understanding mutual resources and procedures before heading out to the marina. We would like to thank the Moyers Corners Fire Department for the opportunity to work together and further our skills with regards to ice rescue training. Attendees included:
Liverpool FD
Car 4 - Chief Laakso
Captain Kevin Geidel
Past Chief Steve Smith
Lieutenant Connor Warren
Firefighter Tim Ganey

Moyers Corners FD
Car 2 - Chief Zaferakis
Lieutenant Ryan Whitmore
Sergeant Matt Orchard
Firefighter Jami Whitmore

This combined training not only helps with enhancing our skills, but allows our departments to better serve our communities in the event of an ice emergency.
