Rescue 1 Handles Train Accident

In the early afternoon hours of Saturday June 17th, 2017 at 1309 Liverpool Fire was dispatched for a Train vs. Pedestrian accident at the intersection of Vine St and Commerce Blvd. Immediately after dispatch Car 4 (D/C Laakso) and Rescue 1 (Chief Loucks) went enroute. While enroute OCFC advised responding Liverpool units that best access would be from the Covered Bridge Apartments parking lot. Upon arrival members from Rescue 1 deployed a full set of EMS gear and rescue equipment. After making access to the tracks from the wooded area it was found the pedestrian had scummed to his injuries. Command held with units on the scene. Liverpool Fire assisted OCSO on scene for a short while with scene containment before returning to service.
