On March 7th, 2018 at approximately 1453 Liverpool Fire department surrounding departments were toned out for a report garage fire on Vine St in our Station 1 area. Car 4 (D/C Manley) was first to arrive with smoke showing for a 2 stall detached garage. Moyers Corners Engine 32 was first to arrive with Liverpool Engine 2 (FF. Cisne) right behind them bringing in the hydrant on the corner of Vine St and Burr Rd. It was found that a small skid steer was burning in the garage, 2 hand lines were stretched and the fire was quickly contained to the machinery and some surrounding items. Car 1(Chief Payne) had command and Car 3(D/C Laakso) assisted in operations. Others units assisting on the scene were Liverpool Truck 2 (Lt. Lizzio) , Rescue 3 ( FF. Dalaba), Town of Salina Codes and Onondaga County Sheriff’s Office. Quick work made for a very quick knockdown and helped limit the damage to other equipment and the structure.
