Around 1236hrs on Wednesday May 16th, Liverpool was alerted to a Motor Vehicle Collision with injuries reported. Onondaga County 911 updated our volunteers that a vehicle traveling on Buckley Rd, struck a pole and a lawn mower with possibly someone thrown from the mower, with live wires down across the vehicle and roadway. Engine 2 (FF Dawley) arrived first with the ambulance and confirmed that a male was thrown from the mower after being struck by the vehicle. Rescue 1( FF Santoro) and Rescue 3 (FF Albanese) arrived shortly after E2 and assisted on scene with hazards and assisting NYSP. Unfortunately the patient thrown from the mower succumbed to their injuries. All patients were treated by AMR Ambulance on scene. D/C Manley had command of the incident. Our condolences go out to the families of those effected.
