On Friday morning at 01:14 hours, Liverpool Fire Dept was alerted to a possible drowning. Rescue 2 (Captain Laakso) went enroute and was advised that the person was out of the water and CPR was being initiated. Within minutes the crew arrived and began CPR. Rescue 7 (FF Martuscello) arrived shortly after to assist. The crews assisted moving the patient into Rural/Metro ambulance where he was transported to a nearby hospital. According to the Onondaga County Sheriff’s press report the patient is in serious condition in the ICU. Such a quick response and early CPR led to a positive outcome for the patient and Liverpool Fire Department proudly recognizes our firefighters and their efforts!
