Liverpool Fire Department's Fire Prevention Bureau is responsible for public education, school inspections, public relations, and much more! Under the direction of the Chief of the Department, LFD's FPB reviews new construction plans for egress features, assists with pre-planning, and conducts public education events through schools, daycare centers, senior housing and other public locations!

Aside from basic firefighting training, many members in this bureau also have further training in code enforcement, fire prevention education, leadership, and a wide array of fire and EMS training.
