| Another year, another bunk in week comes to an end. This week we welcomed new and returning bunk ins for another school year. The members spent all week getting the bunk ins up to speed and in shape for the next semester. Each day involved a new set of skills and proficiency.
Our bunk ins have proven time and time again their value to our department. In return, our department has provided the same value to them, training them, providing quality experiences, and helping them take the first step to move on and become career firefighters. Many of our bunk ins are currently working as a career firefighter and either stay with the department or visit often.
We are always interested and working towards expanding our bunk in program. This year we were able to provide them with new rooms and facilities.
